Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Our team consists of 23 warm-hearted professionals with a range of specialities.  

We are hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to complement our technical team. The role is expected to act as a technical team lead, meaning both hands-on development as well as overseeing the work of 1 to 2 more junior developers. 

We hope you would: 

  • Have experience working with scalable cloud services. An understanding of how to manage and maintain cloud-native applications across multiple infrastructure models, leveraging Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code to support a single application deployed into a wide variety of contexts.  
  • Have 5+ years of hands-on coding/development experience in either the context of application development and/or DevOps.  Has demonstrable skill with T-SQL, .Net (C#), TypeScript, and Python, with a preference for Bicep as a DSL. 
  • Have 2+ years of experience in a devops environment, writing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines targeted to cloud deployments.  Experience in Microsoft Azure is preferred, but not required.  
    • Be familiar with best practices and standards in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting SQL databases.  Hands-on experience with MS-SQL preferable.  

It’s a benefit if you:

  • Understand the concept behind and best practices surrounding production monitoring of cloud-native applications. We hope you have a vision of how best to implement these practices and transition towards proactive application management.  
  • Have experience planning and leading technical projects in an Agile environment, breaking work into small deliverables and overseeing efforts over multiple iterations.   
  • Are able to take part in troubleshooting and issue diagnosis, help identify problem areas and develop solutions that can then be implemented by engineering teams.
  • Enjoy providing mentorship and growing the skills of other engineers, both within a team and across multiple teams.
