Medixine has partnered with the leading private laboratory in Finland to provide a new service to fight sexually transmitted disease. The first customer is the City of Vantaa.
The background of the service is that many customers, especially teenagers, find it hard to approach healthcare services about sexually transmitted disease. Some customers also find it hard to find time to go to a laboratory during a busy work week.
In the new service, found at www.telelab.fi, customers can order an online a test kit to be sent to their home address. The customer then mails the kit to the lab (postage prepaid) and gets an SMS when the result is available. To read the result he logs in to the service using strong authentication.
