Medixine promotes research in digital healthcare services and systems. To support Finnish expertise in this field, we award an annual scholarship of €1,500 to fund a conference or study visit for one researcher or graduate student studying at a Finnish university or university of applied sciences. This year, the scholarship recipient will be selected by Medixine Board Member Dr. Pekka Mustonen, MD, PhD, CEO of Duodecim Publishing Company, in cooperation with Medixine.
Who can apply for the Medixine Scholarship?
You can apply for the scholarship if:
- You are a researcher or graduate student at a Finnish university or university of applied sciences, and your research focuses on health or well-being technology; or
- You are a professor or teacher at the above-mentioned institution supervising a student who is researching health or well-being technology. In this case, you apply for the scholarship on behalf of your student.
Instructions for applying:
Write a free-form application describing your or your student’s research topic, the conference or study visit for which you are applying for funding, and how it relates to the research.
Submit the application with the title “Scholarship 2026” to info@medixine.com.
The application must be submitted to Medixine by 19 April 2026.
Selection process
The scholarship will be awarded at the evening gala of Social and Healthcare congress ATK-päivät in May 2026 in Helsinki. Medixine will provide a ticket to the evening gala for the recipient (travel costs to Helsinki may be covered separately if needed). The recipient will be informed personally at the beginning of May.
