ISO 13485 is a standard that presents the requirements for a qualitative management system of designing and producing medical devices and equipment. The standard is a practical tool, that is used for ensuring the fulfillment of the safety regulations defined by law and responding to customer needs in all states of a product’s life cycle. Certification also increases patient safety and improves risk management. We at Medixine feel that tools related to patient centric care and messaging between patients and health care providers will be vital for all health care in the future. Therefore also the requirements should be as strict as with any other medical systems. Medixine is constantly looking for ways to improve the quality of its products and services, and we feel that the ISO 13485 certificate is essential in our area of business.
