Sitra (Finnish Innovation Fund) held 10.1.2012 a launch event gathering around 100 healthcare IT representatives at the Helsinki Music Hall to disclose the proposed key partners for the national PHR platform called Taltioni.
The Taltioni PHR platform will be based on the Medixine platform and health database. Fujitsu will host and provide the service.
The choice was preceded by an evaluation done by VTT (Technical Research Center of Finland). Part of the material for the evaluation was a scalablity test run with a database of one million patients with excellent results.
“Medixine is proud of this nomination and we are looking forward to starting the implementation phase later in the Spring” says Medixine CEO Tapio Jokinen. “We also expect an excellent market potential in other countries where the need for a national PHR service has already been identified.”
